This is a map of the route Frederick Douglass used to escape slavery

As you can see he had many stops along the way such as Surrat Tavern wher he picked up weapons. Also the Homes of Dr. Mudd, Col. Hughs, Samual Cox, Lucas's and Garrett's farm, and even the woods were resting places for Douglass.
