    Frederick Douglass was born in 1818 in Tuckahoe, Talbot County, Maryland. He and his mother were both slaves. Douglass had a white father rumored to be his master. Although having an above average slave life he still amounted to a great man and someone who moved peoples' souls around the world. Also Douglass was one of the most important abolitionist throughout this time period.
